Those who remember the Ford Escort name from the mid-20th century may be surprised to see the brand reappear in the modern era, but this modern Ford is a significantly different car to the Escorts of old. Primarily designed for the Chinese market, the modern Escort is based on the second generation Focus platform and has essentially replaced that car in the UAE.
